Skin Cover

A worn or damaged skin cover can be easily replaced. The old cover is removed by unscrewing four screws fastening it to two hinges and replaced with a new one. A Torx 20 screwdriver is required for this process.

Replacement skin covers are delivered by default with preinstalled wound retractors.

Flat Lung Mount

The flat lung mount is a plastic component with a red, mushroom-like anchor, designed to mount flat lung models in the simulator. To mount anatomical lung models, the flat lung mount must first be removed. This requires unscrewing the knurled thumb-screw located on the underside of the simulator.

Thumb-screw

A knurled thumb-screw is used to secure the flat lung mount or the anatomical lung model into the designated slot in the simulator.

Wound Retractors

With regular weekly use, wound retractors typically wear out in about a year. They can be replaced with a standard set of four color-coded wound retractors.
